Hickey Avenue ("we," "us," "our") operates hickeyavenue.com. This policy explains what information we collect when you visit the site or submit an audit request, how we use it, and your rights regarding that information.

What We Collect

When you submit the free audit request form, we collect the information you provide: your name, email address, website URL, and any message you include. We do not collect payment information through this site.

How We Use It

We use your contact information solely to respond to your audit request and any follow-up conversations. We do not sell, rent, or share your information with third parties for their marketing purposes. We do not add you to any mailing list without your explicit consent.

Google Analytics

This site uses Google Analytics (GA4, tag ID: G-54G8BZFCH3) to understand how visitors navigate the site — pages visited, time on page, and general location data. This data is aggregated and anonymized. Google's privacy policy governs their handling of this data: policies.google.com/privacy.

Approximate Location

To personalize a single greeting on the homepage, the site makes one request to ipwho.is, which returns your approximate city based on your IP address. This is a coarse, city-level estimate only — it is not stored, not linked to you, and not used for anything beyond displaying that greeting. If the lookup fails or is blocked, a default greeting is shown instead.

Netlify Forms

The audit request form is processed by Netlify. Form submissions are stored securely on Netlify's infrastructure. Netlify's privacy policy governs their handling of this data: netlify.com/privacy.

The Website Check Tool

When you enter a website address into the free check tool, that address is sent to our own server, which then visits that website and reads its homepage — the same request any web browser makes. We record nothing about you in the process, and the result is generated for your screen only. We do not keep a log of the addresses people check.

To show you a picture of the site, that same address is also sent to Microlink, a third-party service that renders website screenshots. Microlink receives the website address you typed and your browser's request; it does not receive your name, email, or anything else you may have entered elsewhere on this site. Their privacy policy governs their handling of that request: microlink.io/privacy.

Google Fonts

This site loads two typefaces from Google Fonts. Your browser requests those font files directly from Google, which means Google receives your IP address and browser details as part of that request. No cookies are set by this. Google's privacy policy applies: policies.google.com/privacy.

Data Retention

We retain form submissions only as long as necessary to complete the audit process and any engagement that follows. If you would like your information removed, email us at legal@hickeyave.com and we will delete it within 30 days.

Your Rights

You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of any personal information we hold about you at any time by emailing legal@hickeyave.com. If you are located in the EU or UK, you also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.

Changes to This Policy

If we make material changes to this policy, we will update the effective date at the top of this page. We encourage you to review this page periodically.
